MyClassmate Terms of Service

Welcome to MyClassmate, a community website designed for UNISA students to meet, make friends and access study material. By using this website, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (the “Terms of Service”). Please read these terms carefully before using MyClassmate. 1. Use of MyClassmate

MyClassmate is intended for use by UNISA students only. By accessing or using the website, you represent and warrant that you are a current or prospective UNISA student. You agree to use MyClassmate only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Service.

2. Registration and Account Security

To access certain features of MyClassmate, you may be required to register for an account. When registering for an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information about yourself. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

3. User Content

MyClassmate allows you to post content, including messages, photos, and other materials (“User Content”). You are solely responsible for any User Content you post on the website. You warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the User Content and that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

By posting User Content on MyClassmate, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such User Content in any media now known or hereafter developed. You also grant each user of MyClassmate a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and fully sublicensable right to access your User Content through the website.

5. Intellectual Property

All content and materials available on MyClassmate, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, data compilations, and software, are the property of MyClassmate or its licensors and are protected by South African and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any content or materials obtained from MyClassmate without our prior written consent.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties
